The rattle is a hybrid dog breed that is produced by crossbreeding a standard Poodle with an American Rat Terrier. This is a medium-sized dog breed that has a mix of traits inherited from their parent breeds. They are intelligent and curious like Poodles. Overall they are happy dogs. They may work as a watchdog for you. Their obedience is always appreciated. They are always in need of your attention and their training is not a problem because of their intelligence. They are always looking for some activities in the house where they can use up their mind and stay healthy. 

Rattle Temperament

The temperament of a Rattle is a mix of both the parent breeds. Every puppy of this hybrid breed will inherit some different traits from its parents. These medium-sized beauties are playful and intelligent dogs. Their personality is attractive enough to spare time for them. They are alert and very clever. The main drawback is their high vocals but they do not bark a lot. They may become noisy at times. Their size is good to carry around on trips and picnics etc.

The adoption of  a Rattle dog requires your time. If you are a busy person, do not adopt these beauties because they demand your time. Leaving them alone may result in destruction or they may get depressed. If you have a family, these dogs will perform well because they are always looking for someone to play with. But you have to train them properly before leaving them with your kids. Safety measures should be taken before leaving them at home. You can adopt them from a reputable breeder, pet shop, and rescue organization. Rescue centers are always preferred. 

Rattle Lifespan

The lifespan of a Rattle is exceptionally longer than other medium-sized dog breeds. Hybrid dogs usually have a longer lifespan than purebred dogs. So, on average, these hybrid Rattle dogs may live a healthy life minimum of up to 15 years and a maximum of up to 18 years. This is more than the perfect lifespan of a medium-sized dog. Their life expectancy can be reduced by accidents, mishaps, and the inherited health problems. These health problems may include bloat, Cushing’s, patellar luxation, and hypothyroidism. All these health problems are inherited from the American Rat terrier. Take your pet regularly to a vet for a healthy life.
